Procedure
Procedure
- Registration Difficulty Medium
The authority checks whether the statutory registration requirements, such as facilities, staff and capital, are met before issuing a registration certificate. Registration can be refused if the requirements are not met.
- 01
1. Confirm the business type: First decide whether you make or process the product yourself, have another manufacturer make it for sale under your own brand, or buy and resell finished products. Making it yourself requires food additive manufacturing registration, while having it made for sale under your own brand falls under a distribution-only sales report.
- 02
2. Check the site and building use: Before signing the lease, check the building use and factory site restrictions. Divide the workplace into raw material storage, manufacturing and packaging areas, and keep it away from sources of contamination.
- 03
3. Prepare the facilities: Apply the facility standards for food manufacturing and processing businesses, and provide a workplace, warehouse, testing room, water supply and drainage, and restrooms. If the registering office finds no sanitary risk, parts of the building location, structure and workplace requirements may be treated differently.
- 04
4. Complete hygiene training and apply for registration: Finish the hygiene training before starting business and submit the registration application with the facility documents to the city, county or district office with jurisdiction. The registering office checks the facilities and then issues the registration certificate.
- 05
5. Product manufacturing report and in-house quality testing: Once you start production, report each product you manufacture. Food additives need a component and standard test at least once every 6 months, and sterilizing and disinfecting agents need a test of sterilizing power, with records kept.
