Procedure
Procedure
- Registration Difficulty Medium
The authority checks whether the statutory registration requirements, such as facilities, staff and capital, are met before issuing a registration certificate. Registration can be refused if the requirements are not met.
- 01
Check the building use: Confirm on the building register that the unit is a Class 2 neighborhood living facility (academy) or an educational and research facility. Use may differ by unit even within the same building, so check before signing a lease.
- 02
Calculate the classroom area: Check the area standards for each course in the provincial education office's ordinance and draw the floor plan based on net classroom area excluding hallways and staff rooms. Since an official measures the space on site, prepare the plan based on actual measurements.
- 03
Check fire safety and stairway standards: Depending on the floor area or the total building area, a certificate of completion of fire safety facilities may be required and two direct stairways may be mandatory, so check before interior construction.
- 04
Prepare the academy rules and tuition: Include in the academy rules the name, purpose and location, enrollment capacity by course, courses and class schedules, recognition of completion, course periods and holidays, and tuition and fees, and organize the list of instructors.
- 05
Apply for registration: Submit the academy establishment and operation registration application (a change registration application for expansion or relocation) with the academy rules, floor plan, building register, lease agreement and fire safety documents to the local education office.
- 06
On-site inspection and registration certificate: After an official checks the classroom area and facilities, the registration is accepted and a registration certificate is issued, which must be displayed at the academy. Recruiting students or teaching before registration counts as operating without registration.
