Procedure
Procedure
- Registration Difficulty Medium
The authority checks whether the statutory registration requirements, such as facilities, staff and capital, are met before issuing a registration certificate. Registration can be refused if the requirements are not met.
- Notification Difficulty Low
You submit the statutory report form and required documents. Once the documents are in order the report is accepted; for some reports the authority checks the contents before accepting it.
We will prepare vehicle cancellation registration documents appropriate for the reason for cancellation. We will connect you to a dedicated service regarding the use, modification, or disposal of two-wheeled vehicles.
Scope & fee

It does not include actual scrapping, export, or resolution of rights disputes. It does not include in-office submissions.
- In-person submission

It does not include actual scrapping, export, or resolution of rights disputes. 1 office visit is included.
- 01
Check the cause and deadline: determine the cause (scrapping, export, return, loss, theft, etc.) and calculate whether the application must be made within 1 month from the event. Without deregistration, vehicle tax and fines for lack of compulsory insurance can keep coming.
- 02
Check seizures and liens in the register: if there are interested parties such as seizure or lien holders, as a rule their consent or release must be obtained first. If there are multiple seizures, check the arrears with each agency and request release.
- 03
Review vehicles with no realizable value: for a vehicle on which follow-up compulsory execution has not proceeded after seizure registration, deregistration can be applied for without consent if it meets criteria such as a passenger car aged 11 years or more or a van aged 10 years or more, and the registration authority notifies the seizing agencies and interested parties.
- 04
Prepare documents by cause: a scrapping certificate (Form No. 18) for scrapping, a return confirmation from the manufacturer or seller for a return, a theft report confirmation from the police for theft, and documents proving the planned export for export; return the plates.
- 05
Apply for deregistration: file the Form No. 17 application with the registration authority for the principal place of use. For export deregistration, report whether the export was carried out within 1 year of deregistration, and if the vehicle cannot be found, obtain recognition of loss before applying.
- 06
Confirm the result: confirm processing with a deregistration certificate, and if vehicle tax notices continue after deregistration, compare the deregistration date with the tax period and request correction.
