Scope & fee
- Simple veterans benefit application
- We will review the registration, identity, relationship, and proof of payment for 1 application for veterans benefits and prepare the application documents. New registration for veterans or proof of relevance to public service are separate. It does not include in-office submissions.
- New veterans eligibility registration
- We will review the provided data, such as service, accidents, and medical treatment, for 1 new registration for veterans, and prepare a report, opinion, and application documents related to public service. Dissatisfaction after deliberation and decision by the hospital inspection/veterans review committee is not included. Scope of writing: 1 type of report/opinion related to public affairs, 5 pages per piece. It does not include in-office submissions.
- 01
Application type and applicant: decide whether it is registration of the person or of the bereaved family/family members; for bereaved families, the first-ranked person under Article 8 of the Enforcement Decree applies. If the person cannot apply directly due to old age, illness or similar reasons, a Ministry official may apply with their consent.
- 02
Secure records of duty-relatedness: collect the certificate of military service, sickbed records, unit accident records, line-of-duty injury records and medical records. Military records are often obtained through information disclosure requests, and a copy of the writer's ID is attached to colleagues' statements.
- 03
File the registration application: attach the certificate of family relation records, a photo and supporting materials to the registration application on Form No. 2 of the Enforcement Rule and file it in person or by mail with the regional veterans office or branch for the applicant's address.
- 04
Respond during review of requirements: if a supplement is requested during fact confirmation by the former agency or deliberation by the Review Board, submit additional medical records or accounts of events within the deadline.
- 05
Physical examination and disability grade: once the requirements are recognized, a physical examination is held at a veterans hospital or similar. If no disability grade (grades 1 to 7) is determined, the registration application is deemed dismissed even though the requirements were recognized, so prepare up-to-date diagnostic materials.
- 06
Objection and administrative appeal: file an objection on Form No. 54-2 with the competent veterans office within 30 days of receiving the disposition; separately from the objection, an administrative appeal may be filed within 90 days of learning of the disposition. If you were notified of the objection result, file within 90 days of that notice.
